About this release
Lars Bartkuhn explores three perspectives on See The Light, combining deep house structure with live-feeling musical development. The Full Experience stretches to nearly thirteen minutes, moving through vocals, layered percussion, chords and an unrestrained piano solo. Inner Experience focuses more closely on the keyboard and synthesizer parts, allowing their phrasing to lead the arrangement. Dub Reprise begins with atmospheric percussion before settling into a steady, drum-led rhythm. Across the versions, the Needs co-founder uses different balances of melody and groove to open up the same composition, with expressive playing providing the thread between the extended original and its two dubs.
