About this release
Tuff Cut 02 presents two Late Nite Tuff Guy edits on a twelve-inch, pairing Nobody with Reality. Nobody extends the vocal and instrumental hooks of Rufus and Chaka Khan's Ain't Nobody, setting them against a slower, heavier beat. Reality takes a different route on the reverse, combining material from Chic with Soul II Soul's Back To Life vocal. The pairing connects funk and disco instrumentation with the phrasing of a later soul recording, using repetition and extended arrangements to reshape both sides for DJ play. It is the second release in the producer's Tuff Cut series.
