About this release
Tuff Cut 06 collects four Late Nite Tuff Guy edits on a twelve-inch, moving through disco, soul and funk material. Get It Right opens the first side, followed by Love Is; Feelin' Good and Dance Shout share the reverse. The selection draws on vocal-led dance recordings, with extended grooves and a heavier rhythmic approach connecting the four tracks. Get It Right revisits Aretha Franklin, while Dance Shout turns to the Jacksons' Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground). With two cuts on each side, TUFF006 continues the series' focus on arrangements that give familiar recordings more room in a DJ set.
