About this release
Lone brings house, rave, ambient and hip hop influences into Hyperphantasia, with a stronger focus on full vocal songs and pop-leaning arrangements. Matt Cutler works with Bikôkô, Juga-Naut, Ell Murphy, Lou Hayter and Merry Lamb Lamb, placing their voices alongside instrumental passages and club rhythms. Life Spark opens with a rave impulse, while quieter pieces such as Opening A Portal create space between the more direct house tracks. Throw The Ember brings rap into the sequence, and Ascension.png returns to hardcore and jungle influences at the close. The album gathers these different strands into a sixteen-track listening journey.
