About this release
Mampön pair two Spanish-language songs on this Rocafort Records seven-inch, bringing their Afrobeat rhythms into both celebration and social commentary. Si Algún Día Has De Caer begins with vocals and Rhodes before the full rhythm section enters, with guitarist and singer Hector Rodriguez leading the song. Its dancefloor pulse carries lyrics that balance a party atmosphere with reflection. On the reverse, Papeles Rotos turns towards protest, using the image of torn documents to question the substance of people's rights. Together, the tracks connect the band's rhythmic approach with the political voice that has long been part of Afrobeat.
