About this release
Special Herbs Volumes 7 & 8 presents MF DOOM's instrumental work as Metal Fingers, moving from Safed Musli and Emblica Officinalis to High John, Mandrake and the closing Chrysanthemum Flowers. The series brings together standalone beats and productions associated with his wider catalogue, drawing on soul, funk, R&B and fragments from television and children's records. Heard without a lead rap, the loops and small arrangement changes become the focus. This Rhymesayers edition contains thirteen tracks on sky-blue double vinyl, housed in a custom top-opening die-cut gatefold with printed record sleeves and a rolling-paper-style insert.
Format: 2 x sky-blue vinyl LP, die-cut gatefold
Label: Rhymesayers Entertainment
