About this release
Inxxxwel pays tribute to MF DOOM through two funk-leaning hip hop edits under the MF Inxxxwel name. Dumile’s Funk places DOOM’s vocal over a bass-driven groove built for head-nodding movement. The House Of Doom takes a different route, pitching down a nineties New Jersey deep house track and setting the voice against a slower, soulful backdrop. Both sides keep the vocal performance at the centre while changing the rhythmic setting around it, connecting hip hop phrasing with funk and deep house source material.
