About this release
Micky More & Andy Tee revisit Rose Royce’s ‘Is It Love You’re After’ with singer Angela Johnson and the DJ Meme Orchestra. More than twenty musicians contribute to a recording built from live strings, horns, guitars, bass and synthesizers, bringing an orchestral disco arrangement to the song. This Groove Culture 12-inch presents four versions: Danny Krivit’s extended edit opens the A-side, followed by Da Lukas’s house interpretation. The original 12-inch mix and a dub occupy the reverse, keeping both the vocal performance and the instrumental arrangement at the centre of the release.
