About this release
Pink Moon reduces Nick Drake’s songwriting to voice and acoustic guitar, with a brief piano overdub on the title track providing its only additional instrumentation. Originally released by Island in 1972, his third and final studio album has an intimate scale that draws attention to the detail of his playing and the shape of each melody. Place To Be, Road and Which Will sit alongside the short guitar instrumental Horn, while Things Behind The Sun closes the first side. Know and Parasite lead towards the gentler conclusion of From The Morning, completing a spare, closely focused record.
