About this release
Patrick Gibin and Javonntte share this Ten Lovers Music seven-inch, revisiting two recordings from the label’s 45 series. Gibin’s Flash Point joins squelching bass and deep house drums with an electrofunk feel, featuring Kaidi Tatham on keyboards and a mix by Gary Superfly. Javonntte takes Wind of Seven Seas towards jazz fusion on the reverse, with colourful synth chords and flute lines moving over a shuffling Latin jazz rhythm. First issued separately on TLM7001 and TLM7003, the tracks are paired here as part of the label’s thirtieth-anniversary releases, connecting dancefloor drive with a more relaxed instrumental groove.
