About this release
Pier Paolo Polcari, a founding member of Almamegretta, brings his downtempo approach to Hell Yeah Recordings on I Will Try To Imitate The Birds. The eight-track album features San Ignacio, Ubjk, guitarist Adriano Viterbini and Sergio Dileo, combining dub space with melodic detail and gently shifting rhythms. 'Jardino' opens with broken drums, while 'Vita Nova' moves into a deeper dub setting. 'The Birds' threads vocoder vocals through harp-like strings and percussion, and 'Ligea' introduces Dileo's clarinet. Mastered and cut by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering in Berlin, the black-vinyl LP presents four tracks on each side in a picture sleeve.
