About this release
Purple Disco Machine's Playbox brings his disco-house production to a two-track twelve-inch on Sweat It Out! The recording connects funk-derived material with an electronic club groove, drawing on Sylvester's Rock The Box and First Choice's The Player. Playbox takes the first side, with an instrumental version on the reverse that places the synthesizer and rhythm arrangement in the foreground. The pairing offers the main track alongside an alternative focused on the production, giving the song two forms for listening and DJ use. This edition comes in a picture sleeve and includes an A4 sticker-sheet insert.
