Rick Wade - Deep Incantations Trilogy Vol 2

Rick Wade’s second Deep Incantations Trilogy EP brings four of his patient, characterful house grooves to Art Is The Place. Level Up opens with airy vocal touches over a lightly moving rhythm, before Big Ha Blues sinks into softer pads and sharply defined claps. Intrusive Emotions gives the low end a rougher edge, balanced by jazz-inflected keys and an unhurried pace. Bitter Sweet closes the record with a dustier, more textured feel. The arrangements make their changes through small shifts in harmony, vocal detail and drum sound, giving each track its own colour within Wade’s deep house language.
