About this release
Secret Vault 002 follows the label's debut with two uncredited disco edits. The A-side builds around rising strings, elastic drums and an expressive male vocal, keeping the arrangement bright and forward-moving. The reverse shifts towards a firmer bassline and a female lead vocal, giving the rhythm a funkier feel. Both sides work through the interaction of voice and instrumentation, with the edits extending the songs' momentum rather than replacing it with an unrelated production. The two-track pairing offers a clear contrast between the string-led lift of the opener and the more bass-driven character of the flip.
