About this release
Serge Papo and pianist, producer and composer Etibar Asadli collaborate on Crystal Clear, the first release from The Party Records. The label grows out of The Party, the Paris gathering founded by Papo and Maryvonne Beaune and inspired by David Mancuso's Loft. Crystal Clear and Zeva bring that musical outlook into a two-track record, connecting house rhythms with jazz and funk influences. Papo supplies the lead vocals, with Maryvonne Beaune and Norma Papo adding voices to Zeva. Asadli also handles the mix and mastering, giving the collaboration a direct link between its musicianship and production.
