About this release
Mark Ambrose returns to his Skymaster project with three tracks on Crayon, moving between driving techno rhythms and spacious melodic detail. Light Speed opens with broad, soulful synthesizer lines over a firm kick pattern. The Modern Mix of Dream Mode reworks an earlier composition into a hypnotic arrangement, keeping floating pads above a weightier rhythmic foundation. Dessert Horizon takes the closing position with a darker mood, bass loops and delay-treated textures. Across the EP, Ambrose balances a direct club pulse with the more atmospheric elements of his sound, letting each track develop through shifts in tone and rhythmic emphasis.
