About this release
Skyrager, also known as Psychemagik’s Danny McLewin, gathers soul, folk, AOR and ambient recordings into Coconut Dreams Volume One. The selection moves from The Carmets’ Silver Moon Beach into the jazz-inflected sound of Ryo Kawasaki and Angela Bofill, then opens towards the koto-led Oritatamu Umi and deeper rhythmic pieces by Harari and Stamp Heat Band. Pat Wells’ The Seeker and Band X’s Trullion Alastor 2262 bring quieter textures near the close, before Yasuko Agawa’s ambient L.A. Night finishes the sequence. The fourteen-track compilation comes on black bio double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
