About this release
Jiro Inagaki & His Soul Media's Funky Stuff returns on LP via Nippon Columbia, and the title really does tell the story.
Fat bass, crisp drums, bright horns and organ-led movement make this one of the most instantly accessible entries in the Japanese jazz-funk canon. It is loose, driving and full of groove, with the band locking into that sweet spot between soul-jazz warmth and dancefloor-friendly funk.
