About this release
Jazz, Jazz, Jazz pairs The Scorpions' horn arrangements and funk-driven rhythm section with Saif Abu Bakr's vocals, drawing on Sudanese rhythms alongside jazz and an excursion into soukous. The ten-track album moves between instrumental passages and vocal songs, with Seira Music and Shaikan Music opening the sequence and Osman Zeeto joining Bride Of Africa. Habibi Funk reissued the original programme in full, rather than assembling a retrospective compilation. Its combination of tightly played brass, active drums and regional musical traditions reflects the band’s place in Sudan's wider dance-band scene. The LP includes a twelve-page booklet with photographs and background material.
