About this release
Trouble is Orlando Higginbottom’s debut album as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, connecting introspective songwriting with the movement of electronic dance music. House, techno, electro and synth-pop form the musical setting, but melody and vocal expression remain central to the record’s identity. “Garden” features Luisa Gerstein, while “Tapes & Money” draws on Funkadelic’s “One Nation Under A Groove”. First released in 2012, the album moves between more reflective passages and rhythm-focused productions without separating the two sides of Higginbottom’s writing. This double-vinyl reissue follows the packaging of the original Polydor UK edition and presents the complete physical programme.
