About this release
IGOR follows a love triangle through a tightly connected sequence of songs produced entirely by Tyler, the Creator. Released in 2019, it blends funk, rap and R&B with synthesizers, heavy bass and neo-soul melodies, using vocal contributions from artists including Solange, Playboi Carti, Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert. Earfquake and I Think bring the more immediate hooks, while New Magic Wand and What’s Good push into rougher textures. Gone, Gone / Thank You shifts the mood before I Don’t Love You Anymore and Are We Still Friends? close the story. This vinyl sequence also includes Boyfriend.
