About this release
Tone DropOut Vol. 13 brings the label’s acid, breaks and bleep influences together through established contributors and two new arrivals. DAWL and SWEEN open with “Modular Therapy”, followed by SkyWave Transmissions’ acid-bleep approach and XOTR’s northern bleep textures. The reverse introduces KWAKE with a breakbeat-led contribution, then Harry Light combines house pressure and breaks on “Power House”. DAWL and SWEEN return for the closing breaks workout. The different rhythms connect through the compilation’s roots in early rave music, shifting between four-to-the-floor grooves and broken beats while retaining the label’s direct focus on percussion, bass and acid lines.
