About this release
Compiled by Arizona record collector Brandon McMahon, Small Talk gathers eleven soft rock and AOR recordings from the 1970s and 1980s. Lush vocal harmonies, gentle guitar lines and relaxed rhythms connect songs by Greg Bowman, Rick Steffen, Charmer and Bluejays, while David Ireland supplies the title track. The selection follows the warmer, quieter edges of the period, giving these independently recorded songs room to unfold across a single LP. It is McMahon’s first collaboration with Forager Records, presented in a case-wrapped sleeve with original artwork by Zone Catalog.
