About this release
Yaya Bey's Ten Fold turns inward without losing the humour and social observation that run through her writing. Released by Big Dada in 2024, the album follows Remember Your North Star and the Exodus The North Star EP, forming a flowing self-portrait through reflections on identity, creativity and the need for validation. “Chasing The Bus” gives those ideas a gentle melodic setting, connecting the experience of being overlooked in a relationship with the same feeling in the music industry. Across sixteen concise tracks, Bey leaves room for both tenderness and a sharp turn of phrase. This edition is pressed on black 140g vinyl in a matte sleeve.
