Nil’s (Jazz) Ensemble, the band fronted by jazz musician, arranger and composer Nilo Espinosa, jumped on the bandwagon of recording covers of international hits under the name Sangre Joven. This 1975 single is loaded with tropical infused funky and disco sounds: ‘Zamba, Zamba’ is a true-to-the-original version of Elkin & Nelson’s 1974 chartbuster; classic balearic vibes! ‘Lindo Caballito’, on the flipside, is a boogaloo dance floor number with an extra Latin rock and jazzy descarga touch.
