Ryo Fukui Trio - Live At Vidro 77
LABEL: HMV Record ShopI had no idea that Ryo Fukui had left behind such a sound source. This is a completely unreleased live sound source recorded on June 8, 1977. The recording was done at Sapporo's live house "VIDRO" by Masataka Ito, the producer of Fukui's "Scenery" and "Mellow Dream." It is exactly the performance of the Fukui Trio from that period, but at the same time, it has an overwhelming energy and freshness that is not found in studio recordings, and it is nothing short of exciting. The vivid 16-minute "Mellow Dream" goes without saying, as does the dynamic "Speak Low," the lustrous "Body & Soul," the galloping "Love For Sale," and the profound "Mr. P.C." , "My Foolish Heart" is a spectacular performance that makes you feel like you're in a fever. At that time, the sound source excerpted from this live performance was approved by the Trio Records headquarters, and the production of the second album "Mellow Dream" was started. It is a valuable sound source in every sense of the word. Yusuke Ogawa (UNIVERSOUNDS/Deep Jazz Reality) the pleasure in listening to this was vast an unreleased trio recording by ryo fukui during these times of global pandemics this is the healing force we all need.
