01sail & toya - The Night (Japan Import)

Japanese producer 01sail joins Tokyo singer-songwriter and guitarist toya on “The Night”, pairing a deep, mellow groove with husky vocals and layered harmonies. The collaboration was first released digitally in 2023, combining 01sail’s production with the frontman of iihatov’s solo work. Doo-wop-inspired backing parts and soulful guitar give the recording a connection to older soul arrangements, while the understated production keeps the vocal in focus. This Jet Set seven-inch pairs the original song with its instrumental version on the reverse, offering a closer listen to the guitar and rhythmic foundation.
