About this release
Banda Maje pairs a cover of Peppino di Capri’s Mo… with a samba collaboration on this Four Flies seven-inch. Peppe Maiellano’s vocal keeps the A-side close to the character of the 1981 original, connecting the band’s Neapolitan roots with its own musical approach. On the reverse, Amor Pela Roda joins for a roda-de-samba version of Samba Maje, featuring Antonio Montuori on percussion and Pasquale Del Solio on cavaquinho. The pairing links two strands of the band’s Costa Sud project, moving from Italian songwriting to the communal rhythm of samba. This second pressing has a white-background picture sleeve.
