About this release
Rose In The Dark is Cleo Sol’s debut album, produced with Inflo and released through Forever Living Originals. Its eleven songs bring her layered vocals into arrangements that leave room for acoustic textures, understated rhythms and warm bass. One Love opens with closely woven voices, before Why Don’t You and Young Love establish the record’s intimate tone. When I’m In Your Arms and the title track draw on classic soul, while the second side moves through Sideways and Butterfly towards Her Light. The album’s themes of self-love, hope and perseverance are delivered with a calm assurance that carries through the full vinyl programme.
