About this release
Cymande’s Renascence reconnects with the funk and soul of Promised Heights while bringing new collaborators into the band’s sound. Celeste joins “Only One Way”, and Jazzie B features on “How We Roll”, alongside eight further tracks including “Road To Zion”, “Coltrane” and “Darkest Night”. The album continues the group’s combination of rhythmic focus, political awareness and spiritual themes. This BMG vinyl LP presents the ten-track programme, moving from the opening “Chasing An Empty Dream” to the closing “Carry The Word”.
