About this release
Georgie Sweet's second album brings her soulful voice together with the playing and production of long-term collaborator Marc Rapson. Written over several years, I Swear To You follows the musical partnership that began during work on her debut, Misunderstood. Twelve songs, including ‘The Ones We Loved’, ‘All That We Were’ and ‘In My Stride’, give her expressive delivery room to lead. Recorded at Rapson’s home in Hertfordshire from 2021 onwards, the album gradually shifts from beat-driven arrangements towards piano and voice. The songs reflect on youth, grief and self-acceptance. Released on vinyl by First Word Records.
