Glen Anthony Henry - Thankful / Fade Away

Glen Anthony Henry pairs two contrasting soul songs on the first Discos Martos release. “Thankful” is an upbeat reflection on love and friendship, carried by a direct hook and a firm drum backbeat. On the reverse, “Fade Away” takes a more introspective direction, giving Henry’s falsetto a central role. Originally from Los Angeles and based in Spain, the singer works here with producer Oscar Martos, who recorded both tracks through an entirely analogue process. The two sides connect a 1970s soul sensibility with contemporary songwriting, presented together on this DM01 7-inch.
