About this release
Compiled by Ilan Pdahtzur, Night City Life traces a nocturnal route through synthesizer-driven club music of the 1980s. Its thirteen selections connect Italo disco, South African synth-boogie, American freestyle and European electronic pop, taking inspiration from the lights of London’s late-night skyline. Fragile’s “We’ve Got Tonight, Boy”, Friend Of Mine’s “Just Your Pride” and Mac & Monica’s “You’re So Good To Me” sit alongside instrumental and dub versions that bring the arrangements into focus. The title comes from Jarmaz’s Disco Remix, with Preludio’s “Mysterious Nights” closing the collection. Spacetalk presents the complete selection across two LPs in a gatefold sleeve.
