About this release
Jill Scott’s To Whom This May Concern brings soul singing, spoken passages and hip-hop collaborations into a record centred on community and personal reflection. Her voice moves between the horn-led energy of Be Great, the emotional pressure of Pressha and the intimacy of A Universe. Guest appearances include Maha Adachi Earth, Trombone Shorty, Tierra Whack, Too $hort, Ab-Soul and J.I.D., each adding a different voice to the album’s conversations. Melodies, live instrumentation and programmed beats connect the material, balancing outward confidence with quieter moments. This Blues Babe edition presents the full album on orange double vinyl.
