About this release
Meet Me In The Garden is Rita Satch’s debut album, bringing smooth soul and contemporary R&B together with a twelve-piece string orchestra and layered vocal harmonies. Satch co-produced the record with Felix Bloxsom and Daniel Mougerman, with Ben Kane handling the mix. Its themes of love, grief and renewal grew from personal loss and Satch’s Kabbalistic studies, giving the songs an intimate centre beneath their expansive arrangements. Mougerman’s string prelude introduces melodic ideas that recur through the album, while the music moves between meditative passages and tighter, funk-driven rhythms. Piano, keyboards, guitar, bass and percussion support a vocal sound that remains central throughout.
