RTSAK - Give It Up / The Way They Do

RTSAK is the studio partnership of Parisian DJ Raphaël Top-Secret and Antoine Kogut of Syracuse. Their Cachette debut connects street soul, new jack swing and electro funk, using instruments including the TR-808, Emulator II, DX7 and Rhodes alongside guitar and bass arrangements. Benedek remixes 'Give It Up' on the first side, followed by Pender Street Steppers’ version of 'The Way They Do...'. The originals occupy the reverse: a smooth G-funk-leaning 'Give It Up' and a slower, dub-inflected electronic-pop companion. Across four tracks, the release shows both the duo’s production and two outside interpretations.
