About this release
Stefano Tirone’s S-Tone Inc. pairs an iLevel cover with an original song on this Schema 7-inch. ‘In The Sand’ receives a post-disco arrangement, with Julia St. Louis on vocals and Marco Brioschi’s trumpet carrying the original’s Caribbean character. ‘Tudo Pra Ela’ features Toco’s lead vocal and Priscila Ribas on backing vocals, set against Edu Hebling’s disco-styled bassline. Tirone adds guitar, keyboards and programming, connecting both sides through his interest in early-1980s sounds. Arranged, produced, recorded and mixed by Tirone in Milan, the single brings British rare-groove songwriting into conversation with Brazilian vocal melody and disco.
