About this release
Kucha, Zeimani and BG Womack bring their close harmonies and individual lead voices to a self-titled debut on Daptone. The sisters grew up singing on the road with their parents, Womack & Womack, and draw on that shared experience in songs about work, love and family. Produced by Gabriel Roth, the album moves from the opening Chauffeur to the closing My Sisters and Me, pairing direct songwriting with a live-band soul sound. Each sister takes her turn at the front, while their combined vocals carry the connection running through the eleven-track record.
