About this release
Yanuka is the solo project of keyboard player, composer and producer Tomer Zuk, whose work draws on vintage organs, synthesizers, clavinet, Moog and Farfisa. His Ma Ze Music debut pairs two cinematic instrumentals, combining hypnotic grooves with meditative melodies and psychedelic textures. Hashrika favours a slower, late-night atmosphere, while No Tomorrow introduces wah-wah colour and a more rolling rhythm. Both pieces connect funk, soul and jazz elements with an interest in film-score arrangement and eastern melodic motifs. The pairing reflects Zuk’s experience in experimental and groove-based groups while giving his keyboard-led ideas their own compact setting.
