Nachtbraker – Bodu Imchi marks Maurits Verwoerd’s debut on Chris Stussy’s Up The Stuss label with four tracks of deep, swinging house on 12" vinyl. The EP puts bass and rhythmic detail at the centre, balancing weighty grooves with playful synth lines and spacious atmospheres. It is a natural fit for DJs moving between deep house, minimal and the more offbeat corners of tech house.

Ompo opens with bleeping organ phrases, echoing drums and a thick low end, before Bodu Imchi bends its bassline around spacey synths and a dreamy breakdown. On the flip, Bathing takes a deeper, driving route, while Agiven closes with small melodic bleeps and a substantial bassline. Each cut has its own character, with swing and a strong sense of space tying the record together.
