About this release
Anri's Timely!! brings together Japanese city pop, boogie and funk, pairing her expressive vocals with bright horn arrangements and prominent slap bass. Originally released in 1983, the album includes Cat's Eye, Windy Summer and I Can't Stop the Loneliness.
Toshiki Kadomatsu's production gives the songs a polished, rhythmic feel, with space for Anri's voice to move between upbeat grooves and softer melodies. This For Life Music Entertainment reissue presents the ten-track album on translucent sky blue vinyl.
