Burial - Antidawn

Antidawn strips Burial's music back to fragments of voice and atmosphere. Across five extended pieces, broken phrases and open spaces take the place of conventional song structures, creating a sense of time stretching and slowing.

The record evokes a city in winter, moving between moments of warmth and unease. Strange Neighbourhood and the title track occupy the first side, while Shadow Paradise, New Love and Upstairs Flat complete the reverse. This Hyperdub release follows the ambient and experimental edges of Burial's work, allowing isolated words and shifting surroundings to carry the narrative.
