About this release
Norman Connors’ Take It To The Limit gets an extended dancefloor treatment from Joe Claussell on this Arista 12-inch. First released on Connors’ 1980 album of the same name, the original brings together a Philly disco-soul groove and Adaritha’s commanding lead vocal. This pressing pairs that version with Claussell’s extended mix, giving both approaches a side of their own.
Claussell stretches the original’s momentum into a more expansive, peak-time disco workout, drawing on the energy associated with his Body & SOUL sets. The soul of the song stays at the centre, with more space for the groove to build. Pressed on black vinyl and housed in a white die-cut sleeve with an Arista promo sticker.
