Biggie's verses meet Brown's funk rhythms, guitar figures and drum breaks in a sample-based collaboration assembled across different eras. The producer reshapes familiar recordings into new arrangements, placing the rapper's delivery against the music of the Godfather of Soul.

B.I.G. Poppa's Got A Brand New Bag and Sex Machine Gun Funk introduce the approach, while Ten Crack Commandments brings Fela Kuti into the mix. This vinyl edition also includes Say It Loud (I'm Black & Proud), alongside Kick In The Door and Everyday Struggle, with short spoken interludes and the bonus track Think B.I.G. completing the sequence.
