Rob - Make It Fast, Make It Slow

Make It Fast, Make It Slow finds Ghanaian musician Rob taking a slower, more introspective route through Afro-funk. The horns of Mag-2, the army band led by Amponsah Rockson, remain central to the sound, surrounding songs with religious themes and an occasionally brooding atmosphere. Rob sought out the group in Takoradi in 1977, finding a band with an entire section devoted to brass. Soundway’s reissue brings the complete album back into focus after the title track appeared on Ghana Soundz, with Loose Up Yourself and Back On You among its eight selections.
