About this release
Double Trouble and The Rebel MC reunite on 'This Is Ska', a new recording featuring BlackOut JA on lead vocals and Kaya Fyah on the chorus. The Rebel MC also appears under his Congo Natty name, bringing a jungle version to a record otherwise centred on garage interpretations. Mad Dollar, 8th Note and Gungo Peas each take a different route through the song's soundsystem influences. Released by 2TUF4U Records, the twelve-inch connects the collaborators' earlier work with a younger vocal generation, with Kaya Fyah joining her father on the recording. The four mixes move between garage, jungle and ska-inspired rhythms.
