About this release
Different brings Brussels-based producer and singer-songwriter Rosie From The Block to Natural Element with a set that connects broken rhythms, melodic writing and her own vocals. Classic funk and R&B influences run through the arrangements, while warm synthesizers and an electronic approach give them their shape. Her voice works both as a melodic instrument and as a means of personal expression, woven into the tracks rather than always placed at the front. Across Different, Easy and We're Here To Stay, that balance of rhythmic detail and understated vocal presence gives the release a consistent character.
