About this release
Shackleton's Euphoria Bound explores shifting states of consciousness, memory and dissolution across ten tracks for AD 93. The album takes a more direct approach than some of his recent work, with bass and rhythm grounding textures that build, fragment and disappear. From Elemental Dream to Buried And Irretrievable, the programme follows that tension between immersion and disorientation. Dub's sense of space remains central, alongside the layered percussion and experimental electronic detail associated with his work. The double LP brings the sequence together across four sides, moving through The Unbeliever's Pulse, When Memory Ceases and The Dream In Fragments.
