About this release
Shyrka joins Droogs, the UVB-76 Music affiliate, with four tracks built around drum & bass and jungle fundamentals. Cross opens in a low, murky register, letting shuffling breaks surface around the bass. Affliction pushes the rhythm forward with harder drums, while Ouroboros increases the pressure through tightly programmed breaks and abrasive textures. Restless Minds closes with a rolling groove that keeps the rhythmic detail exposed. The EP draws on older drum & bass approaches while placing the weight on precise drums and low-end movement.
