About this release
Underground Resistance’s Dark Energy brings together work by Suburban Knight, UR and Mad Mike on a four-track 12-inch. Suburban Knight opens with Midnite Sunshine and returns on the reverse with Mau Mau (The Spirit). Between them, UR’s Atomic Witchdokta carries a mix credit for The Martian, while Mad Mike closes the record with Stargate. Originally issued as a double pack in 1994, the material reappears here in a condensed, remastered edition. Its combination of insistent machine rhythms and spacious, cosmic synth work connects different strands of the collective’s Detroit sound.
